Relationships

Posted by just.fyi - Apr 10, 2009

juh-sst eff-why-eye,

relationships. there are many different types of course. mom and daughter. brother and sister. and of course boyfriend and girlfriend (or bf and bf/ gf and gf if you prefer)...why are boyfriend and girlfriend relationships always so complicated?
and if you think you're in an uncomplicated relationship well wow that would seriously be the first time i've ever heard that...

anyway (look i didn't add the 's' on anyway), there are so many types of relationships:

  1. The LG and LB relationship: this is the relationship where kids (12-14 year olds) have never even met the person and decide to call them their bf (or gf). they're all so naive...they think talking on msn is a relationship. when really they probably wouldnt recognize their bf walking down the street.
  2. The uneven relationship: one of the partners likes the other one way more than the other way around. one is OBSESSED with the other in fact, and this relationship always ends up badly....
  3. Unspoken relationship: i like you. you like me. we're still not gonna do anything about it though...
  4. Unrequited love relationship: actually this isnt even a real relationship causee you cant have a relationship if its unrequited!!
  5. Possessive relationship: i hate these kinds. where (usually the guy) is super protective over their significant other. UGHS they act like their gf cant hang out with anyone else but himself. and they also think that as the girl's friends, we dont know anything about her and that HE is all-knowing...um scuze me REALITY CHECK. we're her bffs. not you. And also, no one likes a clingy partner.
  6. Best friend relationship: you're best friends already so you become boyfriend and girlfriend just for the hell of it...which really just makes you...friends with benefits.
  7. The normal relationship:... i'm starting to think there's no such thing....
*props to my friends who suggested some of the ones above ^

Pet peeve: when people decide to become bf and gf before even going out once. whatever happened to dating first?

You know what else is annoying? When people who are single want to be in a relationship, but then people who have like a billion admirers wish they would just be left alone.
Hey well, grass is greener on the other side right?

sooo should i like help out every guy out there right now and talk about what girls think and want in a relationship?
here's a basic rule: GIRLS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT.
memorize it. live by it. i guarantee you'll do fine if you make that your motto.

so thoughts on relationships?

that's a valid point -- OG/OB *does* relate to teenagers.

"friends with benefits" is a misnomer. might as well be called "benefits"

being "best friends" is why you get into a relationship. that's called "love" by the way.
