just came across this cute artist hailing from BC, mission to be exact, what a wonderful singer!

she goes by Carly Rae Jepsen, and this is what Wikipedia has to say about her:

Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer/songwriter from Mission, B.C. In the summer of 2007 she was a contestant on the fifth season of Canadian Idol, placing third. She was also a part of the Canadian Idol Top 3 concert tour.
